How to get detailed information of running processes in Windows?

When using default task manager, one can do pretty much all the things needed. But there are times when you just want to know some more about a process or need some more details that default task manager can't provide. To solve this problem or to give this extra advantage, there is an application named process manager. One can get various information of the system and processes using this tool.

From where should download this application?
You can search this application on any search engine or you can simply go to this website and download it for free.

What can I do with this application?
Well, you can do everything that default task manager do plus there is a bonus of more information. By using this application, you can see the list of current running processes. You can decide which to keep and which to kill. Moreover, you can see detailed information of what DLL a process using or which particular handles are opened by a process. There are two panes, upper pane show list of processes running while lower pane shows DLL or handles used by that particular process. In a simple way if you want to pinpoint a particular DLL and which process is using that DLL, you can do it with this application. Good thing about this application is that there is an option to replace it with default task manager, so you can always open it using default ctrl+alt+del combo.

Microsoft launched the convenience rollup for Windows 7 pc

Hello people,
Let me guess, there are still lots of users of windows 7. Many of them will be reading this post. So what is this "convenience rollup"? well it's actually like a update pack which let you install every single update on windows 7 pc.
Let's say you have reinstalled windows 7 in your pc, but you are only getting latest updates available. So what about those updates which were there in 2010? So basically what microsoft doing is if you reinstalled windows 7 service pack 1, then you are eligible for convenience rollup. In this rollup microsoft will simply provide every single update from the launch of service pack 1 to april 2016.
So microsoft actually made it easy to keep your pc up to date without any hassle.
his convenience rollup package contains all the security and non-security fixes released since the release of Windows 7 SP1 that are suitable for general distribution, up through April 2016.  Install this one update, and then you only need new updates released after April 2016.
And since this update can be injected into Windows 7 SP1 media, it’s fully supported to mount a Windows 7 SP1 image (WIM file), then inject this update into it.
This convenience update is completely optional; it doesn’t have to be installed and won’t even be offered via Windows Update – you can choose whether or not you want to use it.
(Source : winbeta.org

So guys if you want to download the update package then simply head to THIS LINK but do not forget to visit it with Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher. So happy updating guys. Till then, ciao.

Microsoft to bring in the Bash in windows 10

Yo guys,

Have you heard? yes yes it is legit. Microsoft is bringing the beloved bash to windows 10. This is something very interesting they announced recently and showed the damn awesome demo too. Microsoft has partnered with Canonical to bring in Ubuntu user mode and Linux tools straight to windows.
How is this possible? they must be using a VM. No. absolutely not. Microsoft isn't using any VM to make it happen. It is all natively supported in upcoming builds of windows 10. Actually Microsoft has created a subsystem for linux. Ubuntu will directly run on top of windows without any VM and using windows kernel. This means, one can easily use Bash in windows. Isn't it a great news?  you can directly use apt-get to find what you need from linux side and use directly on top of windows. Especially for devs this is something amazing to work with.
Microsoft is reaching out to Linux developers in a way that the company never has before. "The Bash shell is coming to Windows. Yes, the real Bash is coming to Windows," said Microsoft's Kevin Gallo on stage at today's Build 2016 keynote. The announcement received an uproarious applause from the crowd. The new functionality will be enabled as part of this summer's Anniversary Update to Windows 10.
"This is not a VM. This is not cross-compiled tools. This is native," he said. "We've partnered with Canonical to offer this great experience, which you'll be able to download right from the Windows Store." Third-party tools have enabled this sort of thing for years, but a direct partnership between Microsoft and Canonical should offer even more flexibility and convenience for developers who prefer using these binaries and tools.
(Source-The verge)

Well i will be waiting for this thing to test it out. What about you guys? experiment with it and tell your suggestions to microsoft in order to improve it. Keep visiting us for more interesting news. Till then, ciao.

Pidgin : an amazing instant messenger client

Hello folks,

Today we have something good for "the chatters". Well this wont be a new thing for typical Linux users but for windows users this can be something new (thought it's quite old). Not long time ago we used to have an official Facebook messenger for desktop, but sadly it was disconnected by Facebook management. So messenger is now only on mobiles and tablets? Actually no. From the ancient times till now there is a versatile IM client to satisfy all your needs for different websites, It was (and is) named as Pidgin.
We recently posted :

Pidgin is used in Linux from long time. As it is open source, lightweight and easy to operate, it's really a fun experience to use Pidgin. Pidgin supports various websites and chat services in one single client. Which is quite handy as you can use multiple services at once and also multiple accounts of single service.
