Well,there must be some users around here who are familiar with Slackware. Zenwalk is based on Slackware and new version is already here. This time Zenwalk brought lot of improvements and new stuffs. First of all it has latest Chromium 51, Libreoffice 5.1.3, ffmpeg 3.0.1, Mplayer 1.3. It also features Linux Kernel 4.4.14 which is very stable and latest Slackware base.
Zenwalk 8.0 features user-friendly xfce 4.12.1 desktop environment. From this version Zenwalk will only be available officially for 64-bit systems. System tools have been greatly improved to integrate Policykit
privileges elevation features, this will enable standard user to tweak
many system parameters that require root privilages. There are some tweaks to I/O and CPU scheduling policies that will be imporving desktop responsiveness and better X aplications handling.
There are many more changes and improvements in this build why not try to find some? The installation of this distro is a little tricky but you can figure it out with official support pages.
